Scanning through the threads I see most people refer to a yeast smell as "fritos" or "corn chips" which I understand 100%. But Opie when he gets little infections they don't smell like that. They smell more sour. Is this something other than yeast?
In between Opies toes often get pretty red so...
Bella has been on Fromm Grain-Free Lamb & Lentil since she graduated from Fromm Puppy 6 months ago. For the past 3 weeks to a month, she's been licking her paws super obsessively. Also, her tear stains have gotten really bad.
Occasionally, I'll feed her Canidae biscuits (turkey, quinoa...
Since this is our first EB, I have a question regarding the famed "bulldog stare".
Does anyone here have a bully that will stop and stare at any other dog while on a walk? Charlie, now at 5 months, will stop and watch as another dog will approach from the front, behind, across the street...
Hey guys and girls, my fiancé and I purchased an English Bulldog last Sunday! We decided to name her Georgia, where we got engaged earlier this year. We are so thankful for her! Unfortunately, she's been having boogers for the past couple of days and we finally got to take her to the vet this...
The pups fold by her nose looks a little irritated. Tonight when I cleaned it, it was kinda crusty and it's red. I clean it every night, but I was wondering it there's anything I can put on it?
I've been thinking about this a lot recently because my girl is very strange. lol!
How can a dog that likes to eat dirt, cicadas, and other miscellaneous things turn her nose up at a Rimadyl pill?
Rimadyl tastes nasty, but a cicada tastes good?
I don't understand dogs. :D
What weird...
Anyone have this done on their dogs? Our 8 month old female sounds like she has a terrible time breathing and I would like look into this type of surgery. Anyone from PHX have it and have a vet they would recommend for this?
Wally has had a stuffy/runny nose the last couple of days… started out clear and now has some yellowish tint to it. I had texted the vet yesterday, and she told me to give it 24 hours. Last night he was having trouble sleeping because he was so stuffed up. Off to the vets this afternoon...

I switched Dozer and Blossom to Fromms Lamb and Lentil about 9 months ago, and they were doing well, but now Dozer is showing signs of allergies again. He's licking his paws until they're soaked and soggy, his eyes are goopy again, his nose is dry, and he's scratching at his neck and ears. I'm...
There's some NEW exciting news I want to also SHARE with you all!!!!
When we went and got Trixie. I fell in love with her sister.. I couldn't afford to get her because you know these puppies are pricy and it's also BACK TO SCHOOL TIME and that costs money. One of my kids is entering College...
7/16/15 - Please welcome Drew! Drew’s owners surrendered him to GEBR due to changes in their living situation and they were not able to provide the care that Drew was in need of. His previous family stated he is great with kids and other animals. Drew’s previous family received him when he was 3...

Recently I was offered some advice in my tear-stain battle quest. One of the suggestions I got was to try a product called "NuVet Plus". I decided to research this product, I really liked what I read so I went to the web-site to order it. There were other products on the website that I thought...
Hi All,
This is my first real post, though I have learned a lot from reading all of the other threads! I adopted a 8 year old Bully named Ruby about 6 months ago. We had a rough go- skin infection, UTI, head tremors, surgery to remove bladder stones, diet to loose about 8 lbs.. Finally got her...
My 10 week old woke up yesterday morning with a big goop of green discharge from his right eye. Once I cleaned it off there was no more during the day. This morning he woke up with it again and also from his nose. Calling the vet, but anyone had this happen and know what could be going on?
Hi all. I'm feel pretty confident on my over all care for Bentley but I would like to take it up to the next level. I mentioned how much I loved visiting the site for information in my welcome spot, I decided I wanted to be apart of the group. :) Here's my two questions. I'll try to keep it...
Last night about 10pm dexter stared to snore while he was awake like something was stuck in his nose. He's wheezing sound like it could be "reverse sneezing" but it still hasn't stop. He had a hard time falling asleep. When he does sleep it sounds like something is in is nose. His sleeping...
I came across two English Bulldogs, born April 16, for sale. Pics below of them, and parents. I'm a little nervous because the lady selling them is feeding them Puppy Chow! She owns the female who is 5, and her friend owns the male who is also 5. She tells me that she has vet letters of health...
Over the weekend, Wellie spent a lot of time playing with the hose. He likes Chris to move it around and he pounces on it.
Anyway, he got his entire face drenched, nose rope included and of course now we have yeast.
I've been using TrizChlor 4 wipes because he absolutely hates mal-a-ket and...
And her response made sense. She noted that Porkchop's tongue can only reach so high up when he licks his nose. The top part is "dry" because his tongue can't "exfoliate" the growth of the nose, which constantly grows and sheds. The lower part, where his tongue can reach, is shiny and smooth...
Newton and Olivia joined Lone Star Bulldog Rescue together as a bonded pair. They were part of a cruelty and neglect seizure. Both are blind from years of untreated eye infections. The pair hears footsteps and immediately start following you. They were used as a breeding pair right up to...

My dog has been licking at the air or it seems like it for a couple of days. It's off and on but keeping her awake. I looked at her nose and mouth and couldn't find anything wrong. She's been really skittish lately too. Usually she follows me everywhere or I can pick her up and move her but...
Hi, I've recently signed up and I am looking for a bit of advice and help.
I recently collected my puppy Toby at 8 weeks, we've had him for a week and he is a lovely dog but there are some parts of his temperament I want to sort out now whilst he is young.
I understand that he is only a puppy...
Heathcliff is very loving and energetic 3 year old bulldog. He enjoys walks, going to the park and most of all playing with his toys. His favorite game is a cross between fetch and tug of war. He loves to chase after any toy you throw, but when he brings it back he won’t drop it. If you...

My baby Jewels is 11 weeks old and has had respiratory issues since we got her. The day before we were suppose to pick her up she got in a baby pool with her brother. The breeder told us about it and mentioned we should keep an eye on her because she was sneezing a little. Needless to say 3 days...
We have always used Trifexis for Feebee. When we went to the vet this month to get her treatment we needed something for ticks also. So the lady talked us into getting Iverhart max to prevent worms through the summer months (while ticks would be out) and then Vectra 3D for fleas and ticks. Then...
Remember Remi? He's one of Mama Riley's pups.... Remi is a year old and a handsome high energy fellow! He's done some time with the training program at Applause Your Paws. Thanks to Trainer/owner Dee Holt for taking Remi under their wing as a donation of services to rescue. Remi's got his...

Caring for Your Short-Faced Dog in Hot Weather

Warm weather can bring on additional challenges for dog owners with brachycephalic breeds like Bulldogs, Boxers, Shih Tzus, Pugs, Frenchies, and Boston terriers. Because of these pooches’ short skull shape and nose, they usually...
Today Walter is officially off his restricted activity… it was really cool here this morning so I took him for a short walk in the hood. He did fantastic… I can tell a HUGE difference in his breathing since having his nares and palate done. None of the gasping for air that seemed to follow...
Hello everyone. We have had our little guy for about a month now. He is so awesome! Everything has been going well until the the last two days. Yesterday morning (Friday) he woke up and was hacking alot and starting coughing up clear phlem. It got so bad that I had to reach in his mouth and...
Hi everyone just wondered if anyone has any tips on nose fold cleaning, we have all the correct wipes and creams but Dudley won't let us anywhere near his nose fold when we have anything suspicious in our hands. We have tried the softly, softly approach with treats and gently trying to get...
A few days ago my fiancée and I responded to an add we saw on cregislist about English Bulldog puppies who were being bottle fed because the mother had a csection and wont nurse them or have anything to do with them. I bought 2 they are 2 weeks old today eyes not open yet. I am starting to...
Hi, we are bringing home our new puppy Winston May 30th. The breeder told us that his nose rope is already large for his age, (Right now He's 4 weeks) and that he may need to have it reduced at some point if the rope hangs over and obstructs his breathing. Has anyone heard of this? Or been...
In the later part of the day yesterday, I noticed Bruno who is 4 months old. His skin on his face, chest, head, ears, legs and inside of his back legs and belly was all blotchy pink/red. At our last visit he had a couple pimples inside his back leg the doctor said not to worry about it just like...
Almost 10 yo female, has bouts where she'll be sleeping / resting, then wake up and start licking air extremely fast!! She isn't licking her nose, just sticking tongue out enough.. Her head really doesn't move around.. She just lays there and starts licking really fast, short licks... Thanks
I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Yesterday my girls Marissa and Madison were running errands and when they were finished Marissa was dropping Madison off at a friends house. Marissa wanted Madison to go with her to get coffee first and thank god Madison said no just drop me off...

So this is Joe's dog Jester, and yes, he thinks he is a dog!! Question.... He has been sneezing uncontrollably for about 3 days now. NO eye goop, no nasal discharge, just sneezing his brains out. NEVER, EVER been outside, not exposed to any other animal than Vegas...
