What’s ailing Vegas?

Oh Cheryl... I'm SO heartbroken to see this, you know how much your babies mean to our family.

I have zero experience w/this... Roxie had a head tilt and staggered w/her cushings disease, but she also was pacing on the floor at night, peeing everywhere and refusing to eat. I agree w/the others that maybe this infection is really bad, and he's dealing w/vertigo.

I hope that you get some answers real soon... we love you guys

I waited until the end of the afternoon to give an update... because there really isn’t one. He woke me up at 6am biting my elbow. He was quite playful and naughty.
We buried my grandmother today, we lost her a week ago to Congestive Heart Failure. It was very hard to leave Vegas to attend the burial. He spent about 3 hours in his play area... looking at the video, he never left his couch.

He is the King of comical positions.

He’s not had a single crash and burn today...
so I finally removed the bubble wrap from his head. (Kidding!!)


Orion is being really good... which is very uncommon for her. She tackles her brother on a daily basis. Kudos to the stinker for not pushing our buttons. She’s been 3 days clean on sneak attacks.

However... she is pestering us for attention. She usually likes to do her own thing (which is why we find her sleeping on the kitchen table, standing inside of her toy box or standing on top of her kennel)

So I guess we can say today was better than yesterday and hopefully tomorrow will be better than today.

Thank you all for your support and thank you all for loving and cheering Vegas on during his fight against epilepsy and whatever is ailing him now.

I would be working with this diet in a heartbeat “if” it was epilepsy/seizures for my dogs. But that’s me.

I appreciate the article and you sending me the link to it. However, after 10 years of dealing with monthly seizures sometimes up to three a month, we’ve just about tried everything. Like the end of the article says, there was no benefit of seizure control with this diet in dogs.

My son put his half wolf on keto and she’s 9yrs old. She’s much better. I know what the ending says but a few ppl I know like my son put their dogs on keto n seems it’s working for their dogs too. Makes you wonder.

Saturday morning brings us not much in the way of recovery. His head is extremely tilted still...

But he’s sleeping and eating well.
