He is no better despite antibiotics! So they change his antibiotics did a corneal debridement and gave him tramadal and carprofen! Next step surgery which will be the week of Christmas my poor baby! Calling it indolent corneal ulcer! Seeing my favorite vet next time not that this one isn't good but I switched vets for him specifically because he is bulldog specialist! Even has a couple of his own! I'm so worried though!

Poor sweet baby Will! I just wanna grab those jowls and kiss his sad face :(
Surgery Christmas week? Ugh…I'll be thinking of him

sorry you are going through this. Just curious, what were his symptoms? was he squinting a lot, goop in his eyes?, etc. and so on.

how was he diagnosed?

What a great picture of him..... keep us posted during the procedure. We will all be pulling/praying for him to have a successful surgery and quick recovery.

It is always easier to handle these procedures when you have a vet you can trust in

harveyspecter Will wouldn't open his left eye and if he did it was blinking constantly and he appeared to be in pain last Monday no goop no watery eyes either. I was surprised it was both eyes but left is much worse. He is definitely more uncomfortable tonight after the debribiding I hope it works for him.

harveyspector he was diagnosed by using special drops after numbing his eyes that have a fluorescent color in them so they can see the tears

Harvey had the same corneal tear and the vet used the same fluorescent drops to highlight where the corneal tear was. He was also blinking on this eye. Reason I was asking is to compare symptoms. Harvey seems to have goop in his eyes and I had to put genteal lubricating drops. Might need to have this re evaluated.

harveyspector they can get infected Harvey might need antibiotic drops. I would have them looked at does he have endotropin?
