Yes Lisa, Roxie seems to be feeling better… more butt wiggling… Lol The pain meds make her somewhat sleepy, so I'm going to give her those at night. It will take some time for the Adequan to kick in. Thanks for asking ;)

Is the Adequan daily, weekly or monthly. I think I remember working up to monthly shots, but not sure

We are starting out on 2 shots a week, and depending on how she reacts the vet thinks that once a month will be enough.

I'm glad to hear that Roxie's wiggling her butt a little more! How's it going w/injecting the medication, Tracey? Do you inject in her leg/thigh? Are u getting used to it?

We do it around her lower neck area between her shoulder blades. You pull up the extra skin… make a tent, and put the needle in between the fold just under her skin… it's really NOT bad at all, and thankfully Roxie just freezes when we do it. We did put Wally up because for some reason he becomes "NOSEY ROSEY" and wants to see what we are doing. I had a diabetic cat for years that needed insulin twice a day so I'm used to giving shots. Of course this needle is WAY bigger, so that made me nervous

Re: Update on Roxie… vet visit yesterday

So glad that she is feeling better and that the shots aren't bad. You're such a good Momma
