Mac
As you all know…Mac was diagnosed with Hypo Plastic Trachea and prescribed meds. He had a really bad episode last week...which scared the daylights out of us. He was throwing up, very lethargic and could barely breathe. Called the Vet and was advised to give him Benadryl twice a day in addition to the meds until we could bring him in. I remembered how I used to use the vaporizer on my kids and started using it for Mac at night as well. The next day he was back to his old hyper self. Took him to the vet and the Dr. prescribed stronger meds. He said that his allergies could’ve triggered the episode. And that it takes a year for them to grow out of the trachea issue. He said that he may have more episode until he grows out of it…so be prepared. The fact that he has tons of energy and has gained weight is a good sign according to the DR. Thanks for all of the well wishes :)

I'd be scared to death too :( I'll keep Mac in prayers that he has
no more episodes ad he grows out of this asap. He sure is a great
looking boy! Wow...so is Hubby (love those guns) and your baby
girl is sooooo beautiful...you are very blessed :)

Thanks Texas Carol. Thanks.... actually my youngest son and my granddaughter (middle son daughter) . I couldn't figure out how to add captions to the pic. But the hubby isn't half bad either :)

I'm so sorry to hear about Mac, how scary for you… I hope that he grows out of this as well. You have a beautiful family, just LOVE that last pic!!! ;)

Such positive news, prayers he continues on the path he's on! Adorable pictures!

:whew: allergies are brutal at times. keep us posted and keep the pictures coming.

Also, a suggestions, since he has this condition, it might be better to not have a collar on him and use a harness just to ensure no addition strain on the trachea. Might not make any difference, but worth not taking the chance.

I'm so glad that Mac is feeling better, hoping and praying he grows out of this quickly

glad to hear that Mac is feeling better. Definitely agree about using a harness, as opposed to a collar stated by 2BullyMama

Good to hear Mac is feeling better. Hope he outgrows it fast!

Hope he grows out of that real fast and things can be normal. he is a little cutie as so is your grnddaughter

So happy to hear he is doing better and the meds are working. Good idea about the vaporizer.

Thanks Texas Carol

That's actually my youngest son and granddaughter LOL :)

I appreciate well wishes for Mac :)

Yes...we only use a harness. Too scared that it may make his breathing worse.
