At 5 yrs., “You are my best friend!”
At 9 yrs., “You just get me!”
At 12 yrs., I’d do it all over again if it would bring you back!

Me too, Kathleen. I had teen-aged hockey players living with us when Trixie was a puppy. She loved those boys. She destroyed at least one hairbrush a day. I'd buy them by the case if it would bring her back.

@Susie. Oh my this hits a tender spot in remembrance of all my past dogs and in the knowledge that in just a few years, if I am still around, I will have my heart broken again.
Its a very somber contemplation that sooner or later we lose everything we love.
