Her potassium is a little high now but we're pretty sure it's all the bananas my mom has been sharing with her (or should I say that Abby has been stealing lol)

Thanks :) Between the vitamins and supplements that I have been giving her, the food that I have been cooking for her, and the aluminum hydroxide that I don't have to worry about getting for her ;) She will continue on that path, I will make sure of it. Excuse me... WE will make sure of it :excited:

so what have you been cooking for her foodwise was just curious.

Soooooo glad to hear your good news. Keep up the good work with Abby, she is special and has a great mommy to take care of her. You know we all worry about our babies and they don't worry near as much when they have wonderful people who will do anything for them to make sure they are ok. :happydance:

I posted her vegetable mash in the recipe thread. She ate that all last week.

This week she is eating a mixture of chick peas, pinto beans and black beans. I cook that in the crock pot for 8 hours or so then I added carrots, broccoli, zucchini, red peppers, fresh parsley and olive oil. When its all soft I get the hand mixer out to mush it up more. But I leave some chunks in it too. She likes that.

When I feed her she gets a ladle full of that over top of 2 small spoonfuls of the renal canned dog food that they gave me and 2 of her 4 daily feedings I add some tofu to the mix. I added the little bit of renal food because I was worried about vitamin deficiencies. The vet tells me that i don't need to do that so I am going to donate the case of food that I have.

I have a couple more recipes that have a slightly higher calorie count that I want to try for her next week. I just need my butcher friend to collect enough chicken fat so I can start experimenting :)

Give some of the dog food you make to the kids.... :D
