My baby has a sore!

My lil girl has a couple sores on the back of her neck. There are two lil ones that are scabbed up and a bigger one about the size of a nickle that looks kinda open. It almost looks like road rash with no scab under her hair. What could this be?? We have fly bad around our house im guessing from the rain could this be from the flys??

Could just be a little spot from allergies. If it gets bigger, then I would let a vet scrape it to rule out Demodex mange.

Keep us posted.... Could be fly bites, but the picture you post looks moist and puss filled. Are all three like that?

I would take him to a vet, that does look like puss and if flies are biting it needs to be shaved and cleaned. Poor girl, please let us know what the doctor says.

Unless its a scab that shes scratching over thats why it looks like this - we usually use sudocream (diper rash cream) check amazon for this brand we used it for years on different dogs as it is antiseptic too -after you clean and dry the area dab a thin layer on it-if it doesn't clear up in few days i would also suggest vet visit

Hi, I agree with the others, a trip to the vet would be a good idea, it does look moist and a little green in colour which could be a sign of an infection. I'm not sure if flies can cause this, I've never seen sores like that before, only dry patches or red spots. The vet will be a better judge on if it needs a medicated cream, or antibiotics. I hope it's nothing serious. Please keep us posted.

Re: My baby has a sore!

I suggest you keep the peroxide up trying to dry that sucker up
The flys you have are bringing germs to it
Probably where the infection comes from
The other spots maybe from a staph infection
Try to built her immune system up
