Oh my goodness, Lynn they are absolutely gorgeous!!! I have seen several in our town, and I'm assuming that they are working dogs because I always see them on goat/cow farms. I'm wondering w/all that hair how they handle the heat in the summer here in TN.
2BullyMama nycbullymama All the Pyrenees I've had have a coat that does not stay dirty. Two days before I took the picture, they came up and they were mud from head to toe!! They just clean off by themselves. They are all like that-I think there must be built in teflon in their coats!!! They love the snow and rain, and when they get hot, they would always go in the pond to cool off. Now the ponds are dried up-so they get in the donkey's water troughs! They need to cool off-but then I have to re-do the water. I am going to get them a big kiddie pool this summer. I always have to take a picture at the gate because when I go in-they follow me! They will follow me every where out in the field. When I go in, they go back and stay with the donkeys.
Hey sista' @TexasCarol They are wonderful dogs. They have learned to stay with the donkeys-they are "Night Watchman". They nap in day-unless something happens, and they stay up all night. They have caught moles, and mice-so they are Practicing their craft!! (I am still sore-the ribs) but who could tell with the RA!!??Thank you for asking!!
