I have a 6 month old pup. I'm trying to teach her to give her paw and lol she is having a hard time with it. She has the sit on command down. Anyone else have a problem with there English doing this?
I don't teach my dogs much-just happy when I got them potty trained!! Maude learned on her own, when I ask "what do you want?" I would suggest that you use a special treat. Pick up her paw, say" Paw-good girl!" and quickly give her the treat. Bullies' seem to work best with treats/food(bribery) sometimes called training! Dinet
We did just what @Manydogs describes - picked up Castor's paw and said our word for 'paw' plus gave him a treat. My son taught him 'the other paw' too, which is quite handy when we need to wipe his feet off after having been out in the rain.
