Tail pocket and skin problems

My bulldog is 7 and has a tail pocket. I have not had any problems in the past with her tail pocket, but recently it has been seeming to be infected. The vet said there were not any sores so I should just keep wiping it out...which I do twice daily and it is not getting better. At the same time her skin is having issues that start with hard bumps that flake eventually and she loses hair on them. Her wrinkle is also very yeasty and that is clearing up. I am wondering if these issues could be related. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Could be food or environmental allergies.... even though she never had them before does not mean they can't pop up now. Where do you live and what are you feeding her?

I was feeding her blue buffalo limited ingredient turkey and I have been switching her to wellness lamb limited ingredient. The skin is not due to the switch.
