Squash is a young adult English/Olde English Bulldog who despite his name and sturdy bulldog posture, is actually very sweet and gentle. Squash was flagged by the staff at Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter as a dog whose personality was quickly deteriorating in the shelter system. It is obvious this dog has so much love to give – and Squash was understandably depressed that his people would abandon him. Once we got him out, he immediately transformed into his natural disposition as a happy sweet boy. Aside from the psychological impact, Squash also required oral surgery (which is the cause of his weight loss). He is now fully recovered, putting on weight, and loving all the new people he meets. However, it is definitely time for Squash to have his own family. He is a wonderful dog who gets along well with everyone and other dogs (and probably cats but we are not sure).
