So I had a very scary experience yesterday! Winston is 1 year and 3 months so about a month ago we decided to start giving him a little more freedom and not close his crate door. He was in the bedroom with the door shut so he did not have complete reign of the house when we were not there just yet! We wanted to see how he would do with that one room first, well he did great, until yesterday. My husband went home on his lunch break as he always does and everything was fine. We had his AC on and a fan running since it was fairly warm out yesterday. Well when I got home it was a whole different situation. He had some how pulled the fan cord out of the wall and chewed the whole plug and wire, ok so he didn't eat anything I thought hes ok. As I got closer I noticed he chewed part of the AC wire too while it was RUNNING! Thankfully the AC has a safety feature that once the wires are tampered with it shuts down otherwise I don't know what would have happened and could only think the worst. Good news is he is OK and did not get electrocuted or anything, bad news is its back to his crate when we are not home. I don't want to risk his safety! Has anything similar ever happened to everyone else and if so how did you deal with it??
