Sir Beefy
Beefy has gotten to where he barks at things that are out of the ordinary. My son left his lunch box on the floor and Beefy barked at it until I put it back on the kitchen counter. Beefy barked at a tool that my husband left out. He barked at a pair of shoes left in front of the couch. He just barks at items that are not where they should be. I think my Beef has OCD. Anyone else have this issue?:whatsthat?:

 Every night Jake has to walk by " The Dreaded Broom!" he goes as low as he can (just in case that broom sees him) and at the last minute starts running around the corner! His feet slip and slide and he barely makes it safely to bed. One night I left him sleeping on the sofa..instead of escorting him through the danger zone, and I found him sleeping on the floor just before he would have to venture past it by himself! Poor baby..he is very afraid of lots of things!

For the most part, Rook has been good about things inside the house. It has been things outside that really set him off. It used to be when the neighbors didn't bring in their garbage cans or if they were in a spot he wasn't used to seeing it. With the nicer weather everyone has been opening their windows, and if we happen to be out on a walk while a window is in the process of being opened or closed Rook takes great offense. He'll bark then run back home where it is safe and then bark at our front window for good measure. It's completely ridiculous but very adorable.

Tonka is afraid of quite a few items as well. He doesn't like his doggy gates due to the sound they make when rattled. If his toy goes near them while playing he is cautious. He also didn't like a big blue bouncy ball that was out of place. I opened my umbrella one rainy day and he went flying back up the stairs to escape it haha it was so funny. He has a fascination with my hair dryer too. He used to bark when I used it but now he has to come and investigate and supervise as I use it. His worst object though is the vacuum cleaner. He HATES that and goes nuts. One time I found him hiding in the corner...poor little guy.

Have you ever seen plastics bags/debris blowing randomly outside? He freaks out over that too. :)

Buster is the same way - he barks at things that are out of place - he is still afraid of the vacuum cleaner, the broom - or anything new or different that comes into his house. He also runs past things as quickly as he can like he is trying to sneak by them. :whew: I have always tried to reassure him that he is safe, but he hasn't changed over 7 years

Wilson does the same thing. Anything out of the ordinary or dark objects (like tires or a chair) that shouldn’t be where they normally are he’s barks out like it’s an intruder. Hubby was rotating his tires one weekend and leaned two up again the front of the house and Wilson saw them when looking at the front door and nothing I did would stop him from barking at them until I took him out to see them. Last weekend he put a chair in the same visual path and the same thing happened. I moved the chair out of Wilson’s site. Yep, it’s normal and nothing to be scared about. I often wonder if they’re eyesight is different than other dogs.

Emma’s the same way (she’s 6 months). Heck last night Mike came home and we just happened to be out front so I held her until he parked. When he got out I let her go to go get her Daddy and Mike got down put his arms out and make a funny sound to her. She was almost there and it scared her so bad she literally turned around and ran back to me. I died laughing.

JAKEISGREAT, Wilson LOVES the broom. I’ll get it out when we’re outside and let him chase it. It’s funny!

JAKEISGREAT & JeannieCO Rook is fascinated by the broom! He tries to play/bite at the bristles if it is put away. If I'm sweeping he has to either stand right next to me and supervise or guard the dust/dog hair pile by sitting in it. He is such a helpful bully!

The vacuum is another story. :scared:

Brutus barks at nything that isnt where it should be!

Now that its summer i'm :heart:ing this little bulldog trait!! The kids have to keep the backyard clean or Molly freaks out. No more chairs left on the lawn, no toy's left laying around... and heaven forbid the hose be left out!

Yep..Bubba does the same. If anything is new or out of place..he growls and barks at it! What helps is that the other 2 dogs could care less and go up and sniffs it..which helps. He doesn't like , even the smallest thing, changed! He also hates garbage bags!

Ah --- I love all the OCD bulldog stories..... LOL

No video as proof?!?! I thought Cutty had ocd but turned out not so much compared to Miila... This chic is tough as nails, will face anything head on and everything. I mean everything as in a box that falls on the floor, could be a blanket left in the living room that she is unaware of. CRAZY! BUT I do know she will have my back before the boys. Very bold and ready to protect us all. I love it but alot of he time I do get tired of the barking. Had a wind storm a couple days ago........ forget it.... The boys who are much older knew all the noises but she was ready to defend everyone till the end. lol Love her!
