My Roxie girl's birthday is today… she is 10 years old!!!
I LOVE all my babies, but Roxie has a special place in my heart. We got her right after my hubby deployed to Iraq the first time, as a welcome distraction for the kids while daddy was gone.
I did a LOT of research about boxers before we made the decision to get her, but of course you never really know about a dog until you bring them home. Roxie has the sweetest personality, she has SO much patience for children and other animals. We rescued a kitten years ago named Zoe, and for some reason she decided that Roxie was her momma. Roxie would let her sleep w/her on the couch all the time…
I have taken her to obedience training, and honestly I need to take her to the CGC class. She would be amazing as a therapy dogs in the hospitals or nursing homes, she has NO fear of wheelchairs or other equipment. She should get an award for putting up w/all the bulldogs we have had in this home… she seems oblivious to all their shenanigans
I can't tell you how many nights I had her by my side watching the news and wondering about my hubby (and our friends) over in Iraq or Afghanistan. Or even if I'm having a bad day, she is always right there w/me as my constant companion. I can't even put into words how much she means to me...
Anyhoo I plan on taking her to Petco today and spoiling her rotten!!! I'm sure I'll have to p/up something for Wally too so he won't fell left out… Lol
