Roxie is NOT doing well...

I'm at a loss… Roxie has been on the thyroid medicine for almost 2 weeks. I've noticed a "little" improvement on her energy level, but she looks thinner to me and now she's been throwing up… sometimes once a day or every other day. I'm worried that she may not be able to tolerate the meds… Ugh!!!

It's a possibilty… I know that w/dogs they are not going to blood work as often as they do for humans. I guess that is unless I request it…

I have experimented with my own dosage of Thyroxin and adjusted it according the way I feel. Why not try giving her a little less and see what happens?

I'm going to call her vet today, but I'm only going to give her one pill today and see what happens… It's just hard because she can't tell me how she's feeling

Sorry to hear about Roxie. Moose was om Thyroid meds, but always took one a day. I guess it's according to bloodwork, but I would try one. I hope Roxie will feel better and hope nothing else is going on with her.

Her vet did a FULL senior blood panel on her, and the thyroid was the only thing that came up. I don't know what the deal is...

So sorry to hear Roxie still isn't doing well Tracey, I was hoping she would improve with medication. Are they sure it's only a low thyroid, or could she have something else wrong with her? I hope she feels better soon. Please keep us posted. Feel better Roxie.

Hope Roxie is feeling better<3 it might just be the dosage... I'm sure dogs have different level of tolerance for medicines, just like people. Thinking of you guys<3
