a couple weeks ago I took my 13 week ols baby yo vet to get treated for UTI. After 5 days on antibiotic she was no better and I started to see drops of blood in urine. I took her back to vet urinalysis showed lots of bacteria and lots of blood. Vet put her on another antibiotic to take with first one. Friday night after 2 weeks on antibiotics she started urinating lots of blood, took her back to vet first thong Saturday morning, did another urinalysis, all bacteria was gone but still lots of blood in urine. xrays, ultrasound, and blood work came back fine. she is urinating constantly and whines when she does. The vet is sending her records to a specialist because he has no idea where the blood in bladder is coming from. I am waiting to hear from specialist, but I'm really worried, has anyone ever heard of this or know what it could be?

I don't know what that could be, but I will keep your baby in our thoughts and hope she gets better soon. Do you keep water out for her 24/7? If not, please do. Some people think by restricting a pups water intake will make them potty train faster. That is a myth, and very unhealthy for a pup, or even an adult bully.

Did they check her for kidney or bladder stones? I've never dealt w/this on my dogs, but I had kidney stones last summer and it was the most painful thing I have EVER experienced in my life. Symptoms sound very similar...

Poor baby! I have no idea either, since all the other tests came back clear as I'm sure they were probably looking for stones. That would've been my only other suggestion. Did they also do a full bloodwork panel? To see how her kidney levels are?

So sorry! No idea what that could be. Good luck to you :(

Please keep us updated. Poor little bully girl. My thought are with you and Karma. Wish you both all the best and for a quick resolution to this mystery.

Oh lord sorry but I don't know either:(

I'm so sorry your going through this with Karma, you must be really worried. I'm not sure what could cause this either, but was going to suggest stones, so agree with above members that it could be either bladder or kidney stones. I don't have any experience withnstones, but know they are quite painful, and can cause bleeding in urine. I hope the specialist figures out the cause, and she gets the proper medication/ treatment. Sending hugs, love and prayers your way. Hope Karma feels better soon, I'll look for your updates to see what the vet said and what he found. Take care Hun, she's in good hands with the vet, and you've kept on top of this, so hopefully she'll get better soon.
