He's a bulldog for sure basically AKC has a list of standard colors (for each breed- not just Bulldogs). And a list of alternates- you would register his color as one of those alternates.

A lot of breeders have manipulated genetics to get black, "blue", gray etc. They are breeding dogs and trying to get the right DNA to match up to produce these colors that normally don't happen naturally or would be a mutation. There's a lot of controversy among breeders. I know the one we used is against it but I know these colors are becoming quite popular.

I don't care what color the Bulldogs are but hope they're being bred responsibly to as healthy as possible
