Petey is 4 years 7 and months old. He came into rescue with a skin infection and a horrible ear infection in both ears. Once Petey was settled into his foster home his foster mom noticed some strange behavior. After reviewing his past and present medical records, Petey has been diagnosed with a rare disease called Diabetes Insipidus. This is something that is not curable but can be managed with medication. Petey's medication will cost $250 for a 5ml bottle, one bottle should last for one and half months. This medication will enable Petey to concentrate his urine. Petey will also require a special diet because of his medical condition. Petey is a sweet laid back boy. He is great with kids, other dogs and cats. He loves car rides but does not like to walk for long periods. A home with a fenced in yard would be best for him. Also because of his condition, a family where someone is home often would be a good fit for him. Petey needs a very loving home with an understanding family.
