Newbie question re: tear stains

Alright, so this might sound like a dumb question, but can only dogs with white faces get tear stains? I know they only show on white dogs, but I feel like darker dogs would be susceptible to the same sort of irritation, but you just can't see it.

Yes .. any colour of bully can get tear stains .... it can show up more on a white face. Finding the right food can often be the key to getting rid of tear stains!!

I've seen really dark ones on bullies with color faces.

My little guy has very dark fur in the area where he would get tear stains, how will I be able to tell if he has them?
