This is an awesome story.
I just read the original post and can feel the dilemma the new family has deep in my bones. My family went through something like this too. My son was going through a tough time with dog allergies which severely compromised his health. We were faced with having to re-home the dogs but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
@rjisaterp , you are a superhero. Knowing their beloved bully is in loving hands gives such a big relief and that feeling of "shedding the guilt" of having to "divorce" from the dog. You won't believe the magnitude of gratitude Cooper's first mom must be feeling all because she found YOU for her Cooper. Get yourself a cape. You're superman.
