Hello everyone! I’m scheduling to neuter my 1 year old baby who has cryptorchidism and the vets office is asking me if I want to have any of this things done prior-
bloodwork, ECG, xrays, urine or blood pressure.
Should I do any of these and what’s absolutely necessary because I’m sure if I do it all it will be extremely expensive. Also if you guys can give me any tips or reassurance as well I’m quite nervous for the surgeryšŸ˜”

I usually opt for the bloodwork before any of my fur babies go under anesthesia. I have never been offered the other stuff and probably wouldn't do it anyways.

I have 2 neutered boys and the recovery was next to nothing. They were sluggish the first day after the anesthesia but then both bounced right back the next day. You are supposed to keep them calm for maybe 7 days or so which is always easier said than done. I highly recommend making sure your vet is bulldog savvy when it comes to anesthesia and any surgery.

Agree with @Cbrugs, bloodwork is a great idea before surgeries

Agreed with the posted insight… blood work and a bulldog savvy vet
