I am so sorry to hear about Rosie passing so unexpectedly. keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

My very best friend died at 9 months old out of the blue. I left the house for ten minutes came back and he wasn't breathing. Didn't do an autopsy so I don't have an official reason but I can tell you it was one of the single worst events in my entire life. I rushed him to the vet and they tried to revive him but couldn't and I literally collapsed into a wailing heap on the lobby floor. 2 years later I still miss him and cry sometimes but not often. It was devastating. We mourned for what felt like an eternity . BUT IT DOES GET BETTER. Slowly and it feels like it won't ever and I didn't even want it to because I felt like as long as I was suffering he was still with me some how. And I didn't want to ever let that little bit of him I had left go even if it meant being in misery for ever.
I can tell you that I don't feel that way now and I have lots of happy thoughts of him.

When one so young is Taken away,
Far too soon she had to part,
