Help Needed! Lost voice?

So we left nismo at a boarding shelter this week while on vacation. Pick him up this afternoon and he has no voice. Barely hear his growl while playing. No bark etx. Anything we can do to help him get better sooner? Dont think he can gargle salt water like me

Ah, poor bully! Is he sick at all... did they say if he was barking a lot ?

Im sure he was barking like crazy.


Dosent seem to be hurting him at all. Just know from personal experience its not the most pleasant feeling to have a sore throat. And they said he was a good dog, full of energy and had a slight case of loose stool the last day. Im sure that was from the stress of being there. No issue since we have been home.

If it were me, I'd give him a couple days, wait and see what happens next, he's eatin ,drinking, poopin, he should be ok

You can try lemon flavored herbal tea with a little honey in it (about 1/2 a teaspoon). Make sure the tea is caffeine free. After you brew the tea offer it to your dog when it's warm, and not hot.

My olde english had that happen once, took her to the vet couldn't find anything wrong, about a week or so later she was as loud as ever!

id look at perhaps just a bit of honey morning and evening till it comes back. probably will be fine in a few days

I would just wait it out and he should be better in a few days.
