Looking for first bulldog

Just started our search for a bulldog pup, it will be our first, we have 11 yr old Bassett currently.
Any advice on selecting the right breeder and how much should we expect to pay from a reputable and responsible breeder? Thx

Also,you might wanna look into our rescue pages and see if there are any in our area. Not having to potty train etc is great incentive there I would think cuz from what I see bully babies are a tough one to take on. mine were about a year when I got them so this I have no experience in.
