For the past couple of days I have noticed that Tonka appears to be limping occasionally. I notice that it seems worse right when he wakes up from a nap or first thing in the morning. At first I thought maybe his leg fell asleep or he was stiff but I have still been noticing it. He doesn't seem to be in pain or anything though (althought I know how tough bullys can be), he still gets sassy and playful and goes up and down the stairs and jumps up on the couch (although maybe a bit more carefully). It seems like he is using one of his front legs more than the other to compensate for the hurt area and that it's the other front leg that has the issue.
I checked all his pads/paws to make sure there was nothing wrong there-cuts/etc. and they all look fine. I am concerned. Anyone know what might be wrong? I don't recall any specific incident where he might have done anything. I mean he can surely get crazy and run around and jump up on furniture and then down again just as quickly when he gets hyper and can run up and down stairs like a maniac. Could he have hurt himself at some point? I just don't know if this is something serious or if this can happen on occasion and when/if I should take him to the vet.
Sometimes he seems like he is fine and other times I notice the limp is more pronounced. Any ideas or advice on this?
Thanks!
