Keeping warm ............. brrrrr .............

Yesterday, NE Ohio had the coldest day in 4 years. We had a temperature of 7f and a windchill factor of -15.

I had to work but Tom, the hubby, had the day off so he got the woodburner going at 9am and just kept it going all day!!!

I brought two of the big doggy beds and put them in front of the fire ..... the bullies were in heaven!!

We would love a fireplace, but if anything like our firepit HRH would be afraid of it...She didn't like the sound of the fire at all outside. She would never snuggle up that close.

Some years ago, we had a big winter storm here and the power was out for a week -- even in my condo! My daughter was home from school visiting (Xmas) and I did have a wood fireplace - so at the very least, we were warm. Picture two grown women, two cats, and a bulldog all sharing the same airbed in front of the fire at night. GOOD TIMES.

The advantage of the wood burner is with the door closed you don't hear anything.

Look at those cozy babies enjoying a nice fire! I'm so jealous!

We don't have a fireplace/woodburner in the house - but Pan loves going outside and enjoying a campfire - weather permitting - fire or no fire - outside with a windchill of -15 is still a bit to cold for us!
