D rock
My dog D rock got a flea dip about a month ago.

So i dont think its fleas.

He had a small spot on his neck but he scratched it and made it bigger.

Today he seems drained. And he has a slight slimp walking

He normally follows me everywhere and likes to play.

If anyone knows what is wrong get back to me.

Should i get him looked at? He does have allergies

Is it a hotspot?

Wash it with a cool rag to get the icky stuff off of there. The oozing stuff blood etc.
try some enterderm & Neo.
But definitely go to a vet
It could be infected especially if he isn’t interacting like he should & the way it looks :(

It is infected, it’s difficult to judge what is under pus. If you can, take him to vet. If no, first of all wash the pus away with 3% peroxide, just pour it over until it’s clean, then pat dry with paper towel and apply Neosporin ointment.

Is it a hotspot?

Please don’t get me wrong but whoever told you to give your dog a flea dip and it’s safe? Extremely not good advice!!! And if it’s your vet, change vets! No matter what, any flea dip or flea collar is made with pesticides!!! Not good for pets, children if they touch it or any humans. That’s an infection and needs immediately checked.

Why did your dog get a flea dip? Was he infested of fleas? If he has allergies, flea dips sure won’t help him. Sorry I’m so against any flea products. You’re basically putting pesticides on the dog.

If you’re worried about fleas or tick this recipe is very effective n a lot of members are using it. I use it on regular basis for my 2bullies.

FOR Ticks & Fleas

14 oz of Witch Hazel
12 drops of Lavender
15 drops of Citronella
15 drops of Lemongrass

I used peroxide and and whipped it down.

He will be going to the vet this week.

If you have clippers try to shave the area... it keeps the dirt away and allows air ti get in and help dry it up

Update on D Rock.

He was taken to the vet

They shaved the area and he was given a shot for his infection.

He was also given antibiotics and powder to put on the hotspot.

He is doing much better.

Thanks for all the help.
