I'm so torn...for 6 months he's been known as big red I may just call him Red. I'm not a huge fan of the name but I feel bad that I took him away from his mama into my crazy house with two other dogs and two kids one of which is 17 months and thinks all dogs are his.

Big Congratulations, he is so handsome and it's so cool having TWO BULLIES,
especially litter mates, do not feel guilty...they were meant to be together.

As far as his name, keep the Big Red moniker but call him your own special
name and give yourself time to know him.

My Brutus (prior named as I adopted him @ 4-5 y/o) has gone thru several
nicknames and now after 5 months I mostly call him BruBru. As his personality
came out he was just such a sweet, silly, funny guy & so loving & loyal. I don't
think he's had an owner before who had really appreciated him or spent much
time w/him. He & I are perfect for each other & are supremely happy together.

More than almost anything else, BruBru has helped get me thru these 4 months
since my beloved husband died, even his very laid back, very mellow self has
changed into being my protector...it's very touching to me. I can never repay
what this special bully has done to help me live with my loss...but I try!

I pray your bullies bring as much love into your lives...Merry Christmas!

They are so cute together. The stripe looks like a tan line. You can call him Canelo (he's a famous up and coming boxer from Mexico called that because he is a freckled red head). Canelo means Cinnamon. Or Cinnamon. Or Red Beans (for red beans and sausage). That's Cajun food. How about Cajun. I could do this all day. Don't ask me how I named my bulldogs because I swear I don't know.

I love your name ideas! Red Beans goes GREAT with Sausage!

Big red is gorgeous, I also have litter mates, brother and sister, Bulldozer and Blossom. You don't have to feel guilty for taking him, he is with his brother, and with you, you are giving him a life with love. If you want to change his name, you can still do it, as he is still young, but you would have to do it pretty soon, so he can grow up with it and learn his new name. Some red names are Blaze, Tobasco, Chili, Clifford ( the big red dog ), Turbo, Baron, as in the Red Baron, Bacon, Salsa, or Meatball.

Thanks for the comments! We decided to keep his name and call him Red. Whe we send in his AKC paperwork well have to add the fathers name in it since he was a grand champion.
