Holy cow Romeo just got back from his check up and weighed in at 95 lbs..hope he is done growing lol

Harlea is only 35lbs at just under a year. She was at 40lbs but has lost 5lbs as she has been sick.

He will be 3 in May and has always been on the heavy side..he was 43lbs at 4 months when we got him and his mama was 70+..my other boy's name is fatso he's 5 and is 60 lbs which I think is pretty average..I guess as long as the big mush is healthy and active..I am definitely not picking him up any more lol

Healthy and active is key, as long as your vet agrees he is good

Our guys usually weigh about 45 lbs, but in the winter when they don't go on as many walks or longer walks, they weigh between 40 and 45 lbs. when they are 45 lbs, the vet says shed like them to be closer to the 40 pound mark. I don't feel they are overweight, and they are fed a healthy food, plus healthy snacks like fruits and veggies, they don't get any table scraps, or junk treats. I know they put on a few pounds in the winter, when they aren't as active, but come spring and summer they always lose those extra couple of pounds.

Mommy doesn't think we're fat.

We had a really bad winter and my boys aren't crazy about walking in the snow so maybe now that we have been out more in the past month that will help..also have been trying some diet changes since my other boy has been having some allergy issues this year..that's how I found this site..we have been trying apples and sweet potatoes as treats and no complaints so far lol but I would like him to be a little lighter as he gets older
