How many times a day does the average bulldog puppy poop?

I am curious about how many times a day the average bulldog puppy poops. Truman is 5 months on Monday, eating 1.5 c of food, twice per day and probably takes about five poops a day. They are firm and look good but it seems like he poops a lot but maybe he's just not holding it and "taking a dump" (for lack of a better term) yet?

Vegas was the poop monster. He was pooping about 7 times daily. I think it's all about learning to control it. Once he gets his bowels under control, he should just be going twice daily (depending also on when and what treats he gets) Just remember "what goes in...must come out".

I Love how whenever I have a question or concern.. I get on EBN && someone asks the Same question the same day I wanted to post something about it! Lol! We feed Faith the same as you [MENTION=860]jillh10[/MENTION].. 1.5cups twice a day && boy does she seem to let out more then what she eats. She's even the same age as Truman! lol I'm was so curious to if it's normal. Chelios never pooped as much as Faith. She goes about 8 times a day! Hmm..

you know me, I will hop in and check poop forums all the time.

I am not sure what is average for how many times. I just know that pups seem to poop more. My Gastro-vet said that they aren't born with mature bowels, it takes about a year. As long as they are "tootsie-roll" poops, dark and firm. Then the pup is on track. You should see it slow down as they get older.

I agree! Gertie and Ida poop CONSTANTLY!! Which wouldn't be bad if they were nice and firm, but they're taking turns with the squirts lately. Ida refuses to stop pooping in her crate. I'll sure be glad when they're older and go twice a day!!

Chester (9 months) used to poop about 6 times per day on about 1 cup of food twice daily. Now he's a 2-3 timer

stig's 6 months, and he goes 2-3 times average. but he's a pee'er - since we leave a bowl of water out most times during the day. it's ok though, since he's trained to do his business in his pen!
