NEED HELP! My engish bulldog woke up this morning and one of the legs looks like it is slightly dragging. I thought maybe him and his sister taylor (EM) played too rough and injured last night, though she didnt seem to limp at all last night. This morning her back left leg is slightly dragging. I touched it to see if there was a sensitive area and nothing. She doesnt seem to be in any pain. Her paw is fine what is wrong with my babies leg?

:welcome2: to EBN!!! Is your baby limping?!! If so this is extremely normal… in fact my bully has been limping on his front leg today. Restrict play/exercise for a day or two and see how he's doing… if he's still limping than I would advise a trip to the vet. Keep us posted!!!

I would just watch it for a day or so and see if it returns to normal. Could have just slept on it wrong.

Agreed.. Give it a day and see how she does

Her leg is is dragging, she def looks like she is avoiding the leg :(( I think we are getting hit with everything right now. She has a little red bump on her eye lid and on on the top of her lip too!! So upset right now, thought we are doing everything right....

Can you post a pic of the bump? How old is she?

Oh no! Try to keep her calm until you can get to the vet. I wonder if the bumps are stress related from her hurting her leg? Poor baby.

shes only 19 weeks old :( I will try to post pic later ... I'm very concerned she might have torn or sprained her acl and we just got her 2 months ago and no way we can afford 3-4 thousand surgery right now is their and medicines I can give her to try to help her or prevent more stress on her other joints trying to find a brace that will help anyone have a advice would really be helpful

Take a deep breath, and before you worry too much go to the vet, and have her evaluated before you worry yourself sick, try to keep her off her leg as much as possible until then. At the vet they can prescribe pain medication / anti inflammatories for her size and weight, and they will be able to tell if it's in fact a tear and what your options are.

Is there only one ump on her lip? I agree with LISA... breathe and get him evaluated by a vet for his leg

I hope everything is better by now! Bentley has always walked like a little drunk sailor and we just thought he took after me (I can't walk straight for the life of me ) but he had a incident this summer where we found out he had a 90 degree angle in his spine. After a few weeks of rest and being watched very carefully he is in full bulldog mode - the specialist have all said that he isn't in pain and in amazing shape. Some days he needs to rest (which he doesn't understand) and some days are fine! Don't rush yourself with worry before you know exactly what's going on [emoji5]️.

How is bullet today? Better I hope.

You can be doing everything right and your baby can still get a little sprain or something. I have rushed to the vet many times with a baby limping--sometimes even the emergency vet $$$! Every time it happened, they would do an X-Ray, wouldn't see anything, and send me home with instructions to come back if it isn't better in a couple of days. And every time, they were fine the next day. So I finally learned to wait a couple of days before going to the vet with a limp--and they're always better the next day. I've had 6 boxers and 4 Bulldogs thru the years and we've had lots of limps, but nothing ever serious. I will say that bullies are more alarming when they have a limp because they are so stout they seem to need every leg a lot to keep upright!:)
