Rebel has been acting a little off lately and last night i think we figured it out his back teeth seem to be bothering him and bleeding, is it normal for him to still be teething he is a little over 7 months and if so how do i soothe it? I hate seeing him like that, can i give him some sort of orajel? we gave him a little ice last night but i dont think its helping to much

I looked up to see if Orajel is safe for dogs and this is what I found. It says a small amount is safe, but if it doesn't seem to get better, then a vet visit would be a good idea. There could be an infection in the tooth, which could cause more problems.

Yes, baby oragel can be used in small quantities on a dogs tooth. If a tooth is truly the problem, the application (you rubbing the tooth) can be more painful then the tooth ache itself.

Until you can get to the vet, you can give her a baby aspirin (81mg) with food. This must be Aspirin not Tylenol or Advil which can cause organ damage.

The best type of food and water would be room temperature. Luke warm is better than cold but both warm and cold can cause sensitive issues.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you need additional information.

Best wishes to you BOTH,
Amy

Not sure if that is normal at that age to still have teeth coming in. Sounds like a trip to the vet is in order. Keep Is posted please

at least you have identified the problem..i agree with Big Mike..a vet trip is in order. Good luck!

Has he been chewing on rawhides or any hard plastic toys?

No rawhides but i did have to get a plastic hanger away from him the other day

Probably what it was, might have a cracked tooth. :(

Dooley is 6 months and one of his back teeth cracked and he started to bleed this past weekend. He is loosing all his teeth (fronts first now the back i assumed) so I didnt think anything of it. The rest of the tooth came out the next morning.

Could he still be teething? desertskybulldogs ?
