Help Needed! Hearing Loss after Prescribed Easotic for Ear Infection!!!

Thanks so much! Stella says thanks for the support and prayers!!

I can imagine what stress you're feeling, Stella too.
EBN is praying hard over y'all...let us know after visit.
May GOD be with you and for you (t)

Thanks so much!!!

Lea, you're so welcome, Honey...huge hug! You might order
(check with pet store like PetCo or PetsMart 1st) an herbal
medicine called Rescue Remedy, a gentle & safe calming agent.
Amazon carries it in case you can't find it locally. It might help
take the edge off her anxiety as she's adjusting. I will keep
prayers ongoing <3

Im so sorry to hear that your baby is distressed -have you tried thundershirt (not sure if they fit bullies ) -but many deaf dog owners use them to help with anxiety xxx
I believe your baby will adjust to the new situation (hopefully temporary ) try and keep the situation as calm as possible ,reassure Stella ,she can still read your face expression -so keep smiling xxxxxx
We all have you in our thoughts

UPDATE!!

My Vet spoke with the Medical Company's Vet. They said that statistically 1 in 10,000 dogs have a hearing loss reaction to this medication. That MOST dogs with this reaction regain hearing within 1-3 weeks. Older dogs can take Months. So basically anywhere between 1 Week - 3 Months. They suggested that every 3 Days I do a "Squeeky Toy Test" and record her reactions in a log. I'm supposed to take Stella for a checkup in 2 Weeks. So Somewhat Positive Information..... Let's keep praying!!

LeaKMiller, that is actually good, optimistic news, because now there is HOPE that Stella will regain her hearing! Thank you for the update.
