They work great but you have to clean them often.

I don't have the pet fountain, but we do use a pet water cooler/dispenser with a filter in it. They do get water all over the floor when they drink from it, but they would do that even if they drank from a bowl. We fill it up and the filter is changed once a month. I bought a plastic shoe mat to put under it so most of the water stays on the mat, except for what drips from their mouths after they've had a drink. Lol

I want this. I know one of mine loves to drink from our Brita Pitcher while I pour the water into their bowl. I completely believe it encourages them to drink.

Just wondering how well it would hold up, and how dirty it would get with two bulldogs.

also curious, as you all know, the water bowl turns into drool + water. Does the drool just circulate prompting the need to change the water anyways?
