Hi all :) my friends are picking up their baby bully saturday......they were told by their breeder to use only ceramic bowls that stainless steel turns the color of their noses ....I was told when I got Forde 5 years ago to only use stainless steel....Forde's nose has always looked yucky and dry and I wipe it daily and put salve on it, trying many kinds and it doesn't help his nose at all....so I am wondering could stainless steel be the cause of his nose always looking so bad :( I need opinions :)
thanks glenna

Thank goodness, Vegas has a beautiful wet nose, I have ever only used stainless steel and wash after each feeding and drinking. Im no help, let other's comment.

I have NEVER heard that, I always use the stainless steel ones as well… :ponder:

Never heard that before.... as for his nose, have you tried Aquaphor or Musher's secret on Forde's nose?

When we got Gordo we got plastic bowls but after awhile they got pretty yucky with all the drool around it so yesterday actually I went and got him some stainless steel bowls.

We use SS only also and have never had a problem

We actually do use ceramic, and I still have to "try" and put creams on Tucker's nose, it's always dry and crackily.

I've never heard that before, I have stainless and ceramic. I would agree the high polished ceramic cleans up real nice.

For our noses we've been putting on coconut oil and slowly but surely the dry cracking hyper keratosis is coming off, plus their nose smells yummy. :)

We use only stainless steel also and both of my guys have beautiful wet noses!

I use pyrex glass dishes. They are not too deep and clean up easily. Don't harbor germs.
