ok guys... Norman started squinting just one eye last month. Took him to the vets 1 time every week for the past 3 weeks. He had a corneal ulcer on his eye and gave him eye ointment 3-4 times/day. The ulcer went away, but his lids (all 3) were very swollen. Vet had no idea what could be causing the swelling. He numbed them and checked in them at every visit and doesn't see anything. So last night, he started blinking both eyes... enough to where he barely had either eye open. There is an opthamalogist coming to the emergency clinic by us tomorrow, but everytime I call it's busy. I've been calling pretty much continuously for an hour now.

Any recommendations? What can I do? I gave him pain meds and put more ointment in both eyes. Doesn't seem to work. I'm at a loss.

I'd get him in to another ophthalmologist ..if you can. If not, I'd drive over to the emergency one where he will be, and make an appt. in person. Good luck! Poor Norman.

What she said.... It's ridiculous that they can't answer the phone.... some service company that is :p

I third that idea, I would go over to the clinic and have him see him.

I don't know where you live...but my bulldog's eye doc, dr. Bobochak, is in Akron Ohio.....wherever you live you could call his office 1/330-670-1300.... Maybe they could give you some ideas or refer you to someone close to your home.... I hope you're able to get your bully some relief.

It doesn't sound good that he now is squinting with both eyes ... is there another eye specialist that you could get referred to!!??

Oh yes.... sorry.

He will be going into see the specialist tomorrow if there are cancellations; which there probably will be due to the feet of snow we are supposed to get tonight. Keep your fingers crossed.:begging:
