Frankie ripped his dew claw on Sunday night and he is still in pain so he is going under light sedation and hopefully they will just repair the nail. While he is under they said they will see if there is bone involvement. If there is he has to stay overnight. Here he is before he went in. 20131231_160254.jpg

:faint: Hope all goes well.... Prayers being said for you both

Poor kid! that can be very painful--i remember Tate getting his dew claw caught in something and it was just hanging. Hoping Frankie will feel better soon.

Poor Frankie!! I hope he feels better real quick.

Good news, no bone involvement so just a quickie repair and he is home with us. They gave him pain meds and antibiotic and we have to keep him quiet for approx 1 week. Whew!! He was such a good boy. I think when he was getting ready to go in he thought we were giving him back. Poor baby. He was very happy to see us when we went back to get him.

Aww so glad surgery went well, so sorry he went through that and pain. Did they remove the dew claw or repair it? Hoping he has a quick and easy recovery, and is back to himself soon. Sending love and hugs.

Glad it went well, sounds like a bonding moment too !

Rosalie,
Glad that it was not too serious. He already appreciates you!

Oh my...poor Frankie! So glad it was a simple repair, Rosalie.

And, honestly, my heart sang as I thought of Frankie's happiness
when y'all got him and went 'home' ...GOD bless y'all for saving his
life and rescuing him. Lucky Frankie...and he knows it :)
