Help Needed! Elevated food bowl - how high?

Castor finds it increasingly difficult to bend down to his food (not sure what's the problem - he will see his vet next week). He eats from a low wide pyrex glass dish which has worked very well for many years, but now he needs an elevated bowl or a box or something under his feeding bowl. We tested yesterday to put something under the bowl and that helped but I'm not sure about the height.

If any bulldogs out there eat from elevated bowls, could you please tell me how high up the bowls sit (ie height from floor to bottom of bowl)?

I just measured mine... they sit in the plastic bowl system, and the lip of the stainless bowl hits at about 6 inches from the floor.

Yes it is... sorry I should've clarified that. The bowls are in a system called Neater Feeder, I got it on Amazon!
