DNA test positive for Hyperuricosuria

Well we just got Floyd's test results back and he has two copies of the HU mutation, as we suspected. It sucks but it's better than what the alternative was. Now to start planning his diet, a little trickier as he is so young but feeling somewhat relieved to have an answer.

Is this something controlled by diet? I don't know what this is. Google time for me. I hope at least it is something that wont effect him too much.

Yes I believe she said it was.

Yes, this is what Usko has. I think I forgot to mention that I also give him regular baking soda three times a day to lift his urine pH. About a teaspoon all together mixed in a meatball or a tribeball.
And remember, all dalmatians exept the LUA dalmatians have this condition, so it can very well be controlled by nutrition. If you don't wan't to go the raw way, you can always buy kibble made for dalmatian puppys.
