Hi folks,
For all of you who have been reading my posts about my poor baby and her skin condition. I finally managed to take some pictures of what her skin and face look like. I went to Petsmart this evening with my girl to see possibly about a food change. Ran into the manager who had a bully who just recently passed away at the age of 14 (wow..) and a pet trainer who has a bully as well. Dixie immediately started wiggling her behind, she was so excited to meet new friends. I showed them what her skin looked like, her face and her ears. Questions about diet were brought up. Both agreed that totw was a good food. I told them that Dixie has been on this food for two weeks and back to the reason why I had stopped feeding her totw, very swollen eyes and lots of mucus. I had her on Natural Balance limited ingredient formula, sweet potato & venison formula. Noticed hair on paws that had one time been swollen and licked hairless was growing back and her swelling had gone down. Eyes were not swollen or had mucus coming out of them. Had switched her from it because she had yeast in her wrinkles and ears. The ears were swollen really bad too.
Sorry this so long.... After talking to them some more, it dawned on me something that the one mentioned. Moisture! Mold! It's been an awfully wet winter here in NJ. Dixie sleeps in a dog bed that even though I wash religiously, I always think the thing is not clean enough. The poor dog has been laying on wet spots, due to her paw licking and this wetness trapped underneathe her.
I attached pictures of what her skin & face look like.
Hope you all a wonderful Easter with your families,
Tery
