DIARRHEA again . . . .HELP!

7/23/10 UPDATE:

Well, Maximus yet again came back with a positive stool specimen for Giardia. This is the 3rd or 4th bought of Giardia he has had. The VET is not going to treat this at this time. He says Maximus is to young - He will be 7-Months on August 1st - and his Immune System is not fully developed -
Once he reaches 7-months, things should change. In the interim, I have changed his diet permanently to FROMM Surf & Turf Grain Free, and added Daily Probiotics & Digestive Enzymes,
and his stool has already improved. It will take up to 3-weeks for his stool to really be improved
after having daily Probiotics and the Digestive Enzymes.
Keep your fingers crossed...

(Once I figure out HOW to put Photos' on this site, I'll post some PICS of "Maximus" for everyone to see ! )

Check out the site's tutorial on adding pictures! Hope this helps!

He has such a sweet squishy face! How could you not love that huh?!?! Adorable! Sorry you are still going thru all of this, must be frustrating.

He is awesome. Love those forhead wrinkles.

Patrick, he is adorable.

Did you get the test results back yet? Any news? How is he doing to date? I hope this finds him a healthy pup!!!!!

So sorry to hear about Maximus's diarrhea. I understand how frustrating it can be! What anti-diarrhea medication is he on? DiaBac for dogs is great to have around the house! Hope your poor boy's tummy settles soon...

Thanks everyone for your concern .....

Actually, "Maximus" is doing very well indeed. The diarrhea has subsided and he is doing so much better ever since I started him on daily Probiotics and Digestive Enzymes. His diet has also been
consistent and he only eats FROMM Grain-Free Surf & Turf dog food, and occassionally CALIFORNIA NATURAL Grain-Free Lamb Meal. He tolerates both very well, and the diarrhea is
finally gone and his stool is back to normal ! I know he feels so much better, and I am very relieved....

Thanks again guys !
