How do i delete a thread once its posted, its not giving me that option

How do i delete a thread once its posted, its not giving me that option

A thread cannot be deleted or it removes all post counts from anyone who spent time replying, therefore if you want a thread to disappear please ask an admin or moderator to have the post put in the junkyard.
