We got Blue from a breeder, but not local.
Wellie came to us via Blue's trainer. His previous family left him there and Steve asked if we wanted another Bullie before giving him to rescue. He was 13 months old when they gave him up. I still wanna beat the crap outta them!

PA-LEEZE don't throw stones at me.........Looong before I found this site.....I was looking for an EB, I found one on Craigslist for re-homing. Vegas, then named Dezel was almost 5 months old. Kent owned him. Kent was a young businessman and thought he had the time. Ended up he was working 14 hour days, so he re-homed Vegas because he felt guilty he was crated 14 hours a day. He lived about 2 hours away, we met up at a park, I already KNEW Vegas was coming home with me. And of course love at first site!! I kept in touch the first 3 years, but have not heard from him in 3 years. THANK YOU GOD, we absolutely lucked out!!! Vegas has bad environmental allergies, but other than that, VERY healthy. Just typical EB issues. So where ever Kent got him must have been a good breeder. I have his paper's, he is registered, registered name is Sir Elton John, but I put them up for safe keeping, I haven't seen them in probably 5 years. lol.

We lucked out and found our OE Abbott boy just before going to get our Wheezie girl just a few miles from each other in Springfield , MO .We drove about 1 1/2 to get them from NW Arkansas..

We got Koda though AKC Breeder Referral service.

Both of mine are from a breeder, not local though.

We got all three of our Bulldogs from the same breeder.... and our Frenchie was an adoption from out vet (owner surrendered to him)

Ruthie came from a rescue outside Louisville, KY and Brutus came from Indiana Bulldog Rescue.

We got Castor from a breeder, but not local. It was a day's drive from where we live. We first went there to check him out (and for the breeder to check us out) and then went back two weeks later to pick him up.

I got the two "halfies" from a breeder in w.Tn. and two AKC EBD sisters from a breeder in Ky.

I got Bella from a breeder that lives about 3 hours from me. I consider that local.

We got Agatha Gump from a breeder outside of Athens, GA. Although it was only 4 hours away, we took our vet (orthopaedic specialist) to give the okay. Best (sober) 8 hour road trip in the history of the universe.

lol.. wow.. so different here. I'm in New York city (Manhattan). I would consider the 5 boroughs that make up NYC local. Anything outside..

We got Blue about 2.5 hours away from home (upstate ny).. I never thought of that as local..
