Our last apartment was all carpet and we ended up paying a fee for the dog smell when we moved out. We are currently building a house and we made sure to get all hardwood to help with the smell. I'm weird though, I love Murphy's stinkyness!

Charley's crate, water fountain, and toy basket are in the kitchen; when we are at work, he's in there as the rest of the house his blocked off (he is still a big chewer :nope:). I have a Glade plug-in thats plugged into an outlet by the counter (up high so he can't reach), which is the scent of Snuggles, the softner we use. It keeps the kitchen smelling great!! Couches get vacuumed and febreezed down at least once week as well, so that helps with the rest of the house. Also, we don't have any carpets, all hardwood which is another key factor! No doggy smells here; he leaves his presence in the forms of hair and drool instead!
