Hi all,

I've called the vet and booked Bruce in for tomorrow as I've just noticed these lumps and spot like things on his chin.

Any ideas what they could be or how I can stop them from becoming worse

Looks like chin acne. If you’re not using stainless steel bowls, switch over. And also make sure to keep clean and dry. I usually try to wipe Louie’s chin/face after he eats and drinks.

That's great thank you.

He has stainless steel bowls will ensure I keep his chin dry and clean

We use Tucks wipes on the chin

My dog's had chin acne entire time I've had her, and doesn't seem to bother her.

Yes, wipe his chin after meals and drinks, and perhaps also wipe/wash with chlorehexidine. Let us know what the vet says!

Gang has you covered.... wipe face after each meal and drinks

He has acne. Given me hibiscrub to treat it.

That's chlorehexidine and will hopefully help soon! Be careful so he doesn't get any in his mouth or eyes! When Castor needs chlorehexidine shampoo etc I often use thin latex gloves (the kind dentists/doctors use) as I find it dries out my skin too much (although it works brilliant on Castor!). Good luck!
