Can you give bully's with heart murmurs Benadryl?

I need to clean my babies ears and apply meds but he hates when I try to do anything that helps him like clip his nails or clean his wrinkles. Grooming is such a challenge and I was wondering since he does have allergies and giving it to him would help... Is it safe to give a stage 4 heart murmur bully for allergy/grooming purposes?

I wouldn't think it would hurt anything, but I would ask your vet, just to make sure.

Hi, I agree with David, I looked it up on the Internet for you, and it says that it is safe to give a Benadryl to a dog with a heart murmur. The dose is 1 mg per pound of weight. If you are nervous or unsure, you can ask your vet, or call the emergency vet hospital and ask their advice.

I give mine when their allergies are flaring up. 1 mg per 25 pounds is the dose

I have given my dogs Benedryl for allergy-but it sure doesn't calm them down! You have the info for the murmur.
