the mushrooms we found were like the big flat ones that normally grow on trees and also white one that had green slimy stuff on them. - Thank you so much for the help Advice tips, and most of all Support...

Emergency vet care is all I can suggest. Sorry to see this.

:butterfly: yeah you need to call the vet right away an look up on the internet I seen something online about mushrooms an dogs if the dog jus ate it you can make it throw up with peroxide but that's if the dog just ate it I hope she gets better soon

:butterfly: what color are her gums if their yellow her liver is failing an you need to take her to the vet I just looked it up on what you should do an they say to get her to vomit usually they only get dehydrated an get diarrhea but if her gums are yellow get to the vet right away an it's a tablespoon per 15 pounds good luck

We had poisonous mushrooms in our yard when we lived in Central Oregon. Our Harley ate one, we rushed him to the vet, they made him puke and sure enough it was a "death cap". They can be fatal. We ended up fencing off and putting down pavers in a dog area so we didn't have to look for those death caps on the whole 5 acres!

How long ago did he eat it? The sooner they take him to the vet, the better. It might be too long to make him throw up, but the vet may have something to counteract the poison, or at least some medication that may help his kidneys. Waiting too long may cause irreparable damage to his kidneys. I would take him right away, plus if you can bring a sample of the mushrooms he ate, maybe the vet has a book to identify the poison, and maybe an antidote?? Don't know, but a vet would know more for sure. Better to get him checked.

Praying she is OK..... best to do is induce vomiting and get her to a vet

please keep us posted

:( I'm assuming she ate them a while ago. If so, I'd find a specialist asap. Maybe even a teaching hospital. Poor girl, will be rooting for her.

Will be praying for Tanka and her family, please keep us updated.

I'm also praying for a positive outcome to all of this. I wouldn't wish canine kindey failure on anyone.

I don't mean to sound insensitive but what do you mean his kidneys are "trying" to fail? And just so your friend can breath a little easier... sudden onset kidney failure is much more manageable and far less deadly than a congenital condition like my Abby has or failure due to old age. There IS the chance for recovery if it happens due to an accident like this.
