My crazy dog was running around outside with my neighbors beagle/pit bull mix on Monday. She started limping the next day. I just found out from the vet that she has a sports injury, as her joints, bones and everything feels fine. A sports injury.
Then, yesterday, when I picked her up from vet/day boarding, she was swatting at her eye, barely keeping the eye open, blinking like crazy...then her eye kept rolling around (seemingly). Her eye turned red. This all freaked me out! I ran her into the house and sat w/ her and watched her until she fell asleep. The vet looked at her today and said she has conjunctivitis (pink eye).
This has has been a worrisome 24 hours. So now she's on anti-inflammatory meds (Rimadyl) and I have to give her Fluorescein stain for her eyes.
This is a snipet of the notes from the vet:
"Bella is the most popular puppy on the east coast. What a cutie! She is favoring her right front leg, but this sure doesn't slow her down much...if possible, try to rest the leg for the next few days."
LOL (((my dog))) I'm very relieved this all is not serious.
I took a very quick video of her eye this morning before we walked into the vet:
