A little toy play w/ Bella

Nice jump!! What a cutie

I know donnam! She's losing her baby face!! :(

Bella is a very pretty girl! Not nice to tease a baby!!:p

she is a good girl.... Cheli and Lambeau would have been jumping all over me to get at the toys

Thank you! I appreciate that! We work really hard on sitting for everything.

something to keep in mind... when you play tug or keep away, be sure that you always 'win' - then give them the toy after done winning.

Thank you you for that reminder!!! I thought about that and then I took the easy way out. :blush2:

yea, we all do -- I have to remind myself some days with Cheli -- when they are small we forget easily

Whys that? If I was to wait for my guys to give up first I'd still be hanging on to the toy.

In their mind... winning the toy from you makes it theirs and can cause behavior issues later -- some say it adds too dominace too. but, I noticed when Banks was a pup and our trainer told us to never let her win when playing any type of tug

Just want and did some reading on the subject as I have never heard of this before, learn something new every day.

I have played tug of war with all my dogs at one time or another and never had a problem, just lucky I guess.

Yeah, I've heard that many times. I can admit (and have provided video proof!) that I don't always win when playing tug-of-war. Sometimes it's easier to just give up...especially with a pig-headed bulldog. LOL! Guilty as charged. I will try to be mindful of this, though. I'd hate to have trouble down the line.
